Analysis of Students' Difficulties in Solving Physics Problems with Multiple Representation Using What's Another Way Method

چکیده

Based on the observations that had been made, students experienced some difficulties in solving physics problems, especially multiple representations. They a problem applying concept with different form of representation from previous representation. To overcome this, it is necessary to apply what's another way method as solution. This study aims analyze student’s problems representations using heat and temperature topics private islamic senior high school located Banda Aceh. The design this was qualitative descriptive research five subjects. instruments used were test questions interviews, then results data analyzed method. showed all at level II (planning solving), III (problem IV (re-checking), V (reflection), while for difficulty I, namely understanding problem, found no one face problem. Therefore, can be grouped into indicators principles verbal problems. factors cause these may occur due error formulas, mathematical calculations, unit conversions, symbols writing , double-checking.
